We arrived at Mallard Creek, and all gathered together to say our tearful “goodbyes.” Packing into the bus, Miss America, and Carolina Girl, our trip out West began! Here comes speed dating! We learned a lot of names and forgot a lot of names. We learned the ins and outs of TWB… except for Thomas. (Still waiting for Thomas to arrive) Mushy-soggy sandwiches are next, topped with chips and cookies! The bus played musical seats after our delicious lunch; meanwhile the vans played fish bowl and other fun games.
Our first stop at Flying Jay came with long bathroom lines, bathroom stalls holding people hostage, and funny pictures in hats. We became local celebrities at Walmart with our large group. Some of us bought baby snacks and $5 watches while the Happys began to gather our dinner! After Walmart, we traveled to our campsite and started our jobs! We unpacked the bus, we cleaned our lovely vehicles, we began to cook, and us Bashfuls began this blog!
Upon our arrival to the campsite, the Happys prepared our gourmet dinner of cheeseburgers with condiments, chips, cookies, and fresh-cut watermelon! After our long car rides, some of us took a dip in the lake while others hung out or played Spike Ball. As we waited in line for food, it started to rain and we had to tarp our things! We learned really quickly how to tarp so all of our belongings wouldn’t be soaked. After the rain had passed, we played some fun relay games, including dizzy bat, balloon-carry, three-legged race, and Harry Potter racing. Bashful should have won! We prepared for LA and a music contract with a sing-along. Grant, Ethan, and Katherine serenaded us with their musical talents! Now, it is time for showers and bed!
