Started off the day bright and early at 5 am with the song “Who Run the World? Girls”, by Beyoncé, and pot and pans for the boys. Then, we packed the bus and made our way to Texas. We learned one of Evan's exes live in Texas. On our drive we made three stops at the famous “Flying J.” We got our daily dose of veggies aka pizza, at a whopping 10am. We had a traveling breakfast and lunch, which consisted of muffins, juice boxes, apples, and sliders for lunch.

On the bus, Alyssa played a 30-minute round of Uno, and Evan was the winner! On Carolina Girl, everyone participated in karaoke. You should hear some of the voices in our group. On Miss America, many conspiracy theories were discussed and many “nips and naps” were taken. After our very long ride we arrived at the Alamo, some people got the “a la mode.” Our “group of 60” spent some time exploring, and enjoyed some personal exploration time! Many souvenirs were purchased at the Alamo and River Walk! Tucker’s favorite part was walking around the Alamo with Evan… Tate was there too but… oh well. We also ran into a past participant from a session in 2009. Shout out to Austin Bailey! During our walk, the counselors made us take our shoes off and walk around, they convinced us that we would need water shoes… We received many strange looks. At least they didn’t make us put our feet in the water.

Some of our people had some authentic Mexican food! After a good meal, we made our way to the ice cream shop. A lot of us made a mess with the chocolate ice cream. Katie also adopted a longhorn… his name is “Stevie!” We made our way back to the bus, and spent the hour long trip giggling, singing, and napping. Megan and Grace sang the entire show of “High School Musical.” Some of us ate our traveling dinner of pizza wraps. (Others forgot and realized how hungry they were after arriving.) Then, we finally arrived after a very long day on the bus to Schreiner University! We are lucky to have the ability to sleep indoors, and have a warm shower. This is the last entry from the Bashfuls!
