Today was a sleep in day...until 6:30. After loading up onto the bus, we left for Hollywood. We ate a delicious traveling breakfast of bananas and croissants. We got to choose what condiment was on our croissant. Our choices were nutella, peanut butter, strawberry jelly, or grape jelly. YUM! When we got there, Dallas said, “Look to the right, see the Hollywood sign”. Hey, that’s a lyric from Party in the USA! We pulled up to the Hollywood Bowl, but couldn’t get out. Grace said, “You could almost see the ghost of T Swizzle”. We arrived to an empty Hollywood town so early that there was no one to be seen. We decided to kill some time with research. Our researchers did an amazing job. After that, we were free to explore for a total of two hours. Sam bought a “fake ID” from a movie. Faith’s group walked to Philz coffee and met a famous Tik Toker, Victoria Paris. She was the nicest person ever, says Faith. Emily K. and Grace R. walked around, looking at all the stars’ names in the sidewalk. Kate says that her group almost got ran over by a bus trying to get some coffee.
At 11 am, we all waited patiently for the famous Aubrey Nealey. Our screamers, Abby L and Strom, were the first to see her. We all then gathered around her, while other tourists followed us to see what was going on. Aubrey took many selfies and signed so many autographs.

After our celebrity sighting, we all went back to the bus to head to the baseball game. When we arrived, we were all given $10 from Grant to buy our lunch. Some people got nachos, cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, hotdogs, and even popcorn. Gracyn got tenders, fries, and a large drink which was very delicious. Trinity enjoyed watching Abby and Lexie dance for the jumbotron. After the game, a lot of us tried getting as close as we could to the field, while others went and bought souvenirs. 3 of our participants, along with one of our counselors got to run in the “kids run the bases” event. 3 of our participants, Thomas, Larkin, and Zac, all got a baseball from the game. We then loaded the bus, once again, to head back to our campsite and eat a wonderful dinner of grilled cheeses and chicken noodle soup. Oodbyegay everyonetay!
